Finely bound in contemporary full tree calf binding. Spine with five raised bands, each with gilt decoration. The compartments fully decorated and ruled in gilt. Red morocco title label, ruled and lettered in gilt. Decorative gilt border on boards. Front board with gilt stamped arms of Blundell's School, Tiverton. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Prize label inside the front board. The binding isn't signed but is certainly the work of a master binder. A fine copy in a fine, highly decorative, tree calf binding.:
