Illustrated with 14pp of colour litho endpapers, some with a vignette illustration in the middle of the page, and 16 fine full page, full colour lithographs. A fine, bright copy finely bound, for Asprey's of London, in half dark green morocco. Spine with five raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments ruled and lettered in gilt. Green cloth on boards. Original colour litho multi page endpapers bound in. All edges gilt. There is just a hint of fading to the spine. The binding is signed by Aspreys in tiny gilt letteres to the bottom of the inside front board. There is no binders signature but this is certainly the work of a master bookbinder. Printed at the Curwen Press, London. Originally published in the US by the Heritage Press in 1942, it was 13 years before this U.K edition was issued.: Price:
