A & C Black.London.,1908  LARGE 8VO.REPRINT.Fifty colour plates.Publishers green cloth with dark green illustration to front board and spine.Spine lettered in gilt,front board lettered in dark green.Variant binding from those described in Inman's bibliography of A & C Black books.He states that the first edition had green cloth,illustrated in dark green and all the lettering in gilt.This copy only has gilt lettering to the spine.Inman states that reprints were issued in white cloth without gilt to the top edge.This copy is a mixture of the variants as it doesn't have the gilt top edge but is in green cloth.Overall a very good copy in original dustwrapper.The adverts on the wrapper date it to circa 1914 so this book is almost certainly a late reprint in a binding not seen by Inman.There is some loss to the top of the wrapper spine and some staining but overall it is a near very good example of this scarce and fragile item.:(wph).  Price: 150.00 GBP Add to Shopping Cart
