 3. STEVENSON.ROBERT LOUIS.; ROBINSON.CHARLES.Illustrates.  A CHILD'S GARDEN OF VERSES.
John Lane,The bodley Head.London.,1912
SCARCE EARLY EDITION IN DUSTWRAPPER.New edition of this illustrated version originally published in 1895.Small 8vo.Fully illustrated throughout with line drawings on every page.Inscription on front free endpaper, dated Xmas 1913.Fine copy in original publishers red cloth binding with highly decorative gilt decoration and lettering to front board and spine.Triple ruled border in white to the front board.Top edge gilt.In the scarce original printed dustwrapper which reproduces the front board in white ink to front panel and has white lettering to spine. The lettering on the spine has faded and the front panel has smudged. There are a few small areas of loss to edges, particularly the top quarter inch of the spine and a half inch chip from the bottom of spine.Overall a very good example of a 1912 dustwrapper which has done a fantastic job of keeping the book in fine bright condition.Uncommon in this condition. One of the finest illustrated books from the late Victorian period.:
