Contemporary leather bindings, by Denny, of half deep red morocco. Spines with raised bands with decorative vertical lines in gilt. The compartments are ruled, decorated and lettered in gilt. Marbled paper to boards and endpapers. Top edges gilt. Remains of paper bookplate on the front blank free endpaper of volume one, otherwise clean and bright throughout. A very good set in attractive early twentieth century fine bindings.
