One small white mark to the top edge of Sherton's Progress but otherwise clean and unmarked books. All three volumes in very bright and clean original dustwrappers, all with original prices still present on inner flaps. Two Faber advertising flyers listing new publications, one including Memoirs of an Infantry Officer, are loosely inserted. A superior set. ------ Sassoon's masterpiece of autobiographical fiction. One of the great literary works of the twentieth century. The first volume was published anonymously in an edition of just 1500 copies and is scarce. Complete sets are uncommon in this condition. A limited edition, signed by Sassoon, was published later in 1928 and matching limited and signed volumes issued alongside the publication of the two other volumes in 1930 and 1936. (Keynes.
