Fine engraving on the title page. Text printed in red and black. Several pages with musical notes printed in black on four red stave lines. Neat previous owner name in ink on blank leaf at the end. In a highly attractive 18th century mid brown morocco binding. Spine with raised bands. The compartments ruled and decorated with floral designs. The boards are elaborately decorated with many floral devices, decorative chain lattice, Cherubs and several flourishes. Dozens of black morocco onlay pieces within the gilt decoration. Endpapers with design printed in gold, red and green. All edges gilt. Remains of four cloth page tabs on the fore edge. Some rubbing and bumping to the binding and in a few places the gilt is a little worn but overall this is still a beautiful and highly decorative 18th century binding.
