Some foxing to the illustrated title page and a few of the engraved plates and just a handful of text page margins also affected, but to a lesser extent. Overall a fresh and clean copy. Two previous owner armorial bookplates to the front endpapers; One nineteenth century for Christopher Turnor, of Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire, and one twentieth century for Peter George Wakely of Cosby in Leicestershire. There is a Captain Turnor listed as having ordered a large paper copy in the four page subscribers list, but with no initial for his christian name. ---- An attractively bound copy of this impressive book, which despite having had some restoration still looks fantastic.
