Lacking blank free endpapers. Previous owners name and motto, dated 1765,written neatly on verso of booksellers advert leaf.Contemporary full brown calf, the boards ruled in blind. Spine with five raised bands, ruled in blind. Hand written paper title label is either original or certainly very early. Some rubbing to extremities and a split to the top 4 inches of the upper outer hinge. Overall a good copy in a very good 17th century binding.:.
