FIRST EDITION. Large 8vo. (11.1 x 8.8 inches). Illustrated with 8 full page colour plates and dozens of line drawings throughout the text by Anderson. A little browning to the blank endpapers otherwise a very good, clean copy in the publishers green paper covered boards with full colour illustrated onlay to the front. Blue cloth spine lettered in dark blue. Aside from some minor rubbing to the extremities this is a very good copy indeed. The book is undated but the British Library gives the date as 1917. That is the same year Harrap became a limited company so undated copies with '& Co. Ltd' on the title page are post 1917 reprints.
