FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (9 x 6 inches). Illustrated with 21 mono photos on 16 plates. Four pages of adverts at end of book. Neat ink stamp of Kent & Canterbury hospital on the front blank free endpaper but no other stamps or ownership marks. Some light foxing to a few pages but generally a very good, clean copy in the publishers original green cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. Author's facsimile signature in gilt to the front board. Both boards with a blind stamped ruled border. Top edge trimmed, the others not and rough edged. Faint mark to the top of the fronmt board where a paper label has been carefully removed and little rubbing to the edges but overall a very good copy.
