NEW EDITION. Small 4to. (9.6 x 6.7 inches). Fully illustrated throughout with 16 tipped in colour plates, pictorial title page, plus 25 full page and 100 smaller line drawings. A hint of browning to the blank endpapers but generally a very clean and bright copy in the original publishers yellow cloth binding with illustration to the front board in red and black. The spine and front board are lettered in black. A little darkening to spine but overall a better than very good copy of this beautiful book. --- Originally published by Constable and Co in 1912, this is the first Hodder and Stoughton edition and it contains all of the illustrations from the earlier edition.
