Two volumes bound in one. 8vo. (7.2 x 5 inches). Mono frontispiece map of Kensington Gardens by H. J. Ford in The Little White Bird, with a tissue guard. Internally very good, bright and clean copies, in an attractive early leather binding for Hatchards of London. Half dark green calf. Spine with raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments decorated, lettered and ruled in gilt. Green cloth on boards. Top edge gilt. Blue/grey plain endpapers. A small area of loss to the inside at the bottom of both boards otherwise very good indeed. A good looking volume that includes the story that introduced the character Peter Pan to the world.
