Reprint of 1885 extended edition (originally issued in 1884). 8vo. (6.2 x 4.2 inches). Issued as part of the Golden Treasury series. Engraved vignette on title page by Stodart. Some foxing to the first and last blank endpapers and to the half title and title pages, otherwise a clean copy throughout, the text pages unmarked. In an attractive contemporary leather binding, by Riviere and Sons, London, of full navy blue calf. Spine with raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments double ruled with decorative designs in gilt. Brown title label, decorated and lettered in gilt. Board edges with decorative gilt tooling. Turn-ins with elaborate gilt tooling. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. A little rubbing to the extremities but overall a very good copy in a lovely leather binding.
