FIRST EDITIONS. 1st impressions, 1st state of Into Battle (no page number on page 78). -- 7 VOLUMES. 8vo. (8.7 x 5.7 inches). Portrait frontispieces in first two volumes but there are several mono photos in each of the last five volumes. Complete set of the war speeches. Overall a very good set in the original publishers different coloured dustwrappers. Two of the volumes have a neat previous owner names or inscriptions to the blank endpapers. Some foxing to the fore edge of five of the volumes and the first few leaves of volumes 1 and 6, but otherwise all the volumes are generally clean and bright throughout. The wrappers are on the whole in good to very good condition with some rubbing, chipping and loss to the extremities, Particularly on the first four. Overall a near very good example of this important set. --- Complete sets of first editions in nice condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
