FIRST EDITION. 1st printing. 8vo. (7.4 x 5.1 inches). Illustrated with four maps, three of them fold out, & four plans in the text. A fine, clean and crisp copy bound in late twentieth century half navy blue morocco by Bayntun of Bath. Spine with raised bands, each with gilt wavy line decoration. Compartments ruled and lettered in gilt. Light blue cloth with single gilt ruled border of the leather on the boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. The spine is sun faded, but the gilt still bright and gleaming. A neat ink written note, of somebody's initials and a date, written on the top of the front free endpaper, but still overall a near fine copy.
