FIRST PRINTING of this collected edition, featuring stories from Winnie the Pooh (1st published in 1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1st published in 1928). 8vo. (7.5 x 5 inches). Illustrated throughout with 87 of Shepard's charming line drawings. Some marking to a few pages, but mostly to the margins. Finely bound in a recent half red morocco leather binding. The spine with five raised bands, the compartments ruled in blind and decorated with gilt stamped Winnie the Pooh devices and lettering. Black leather title label, gilt. Red cloth on boards, with a single gilt ruled border on the leather edges. Overall a very good, attractively bound copy.
