Original red cloth boards, with silver lettering to the spine and in the original 1st state dustwrapper with price still intact, although beneath a bookshop's own price sticker showing the same price. Small black dot to the top of the rear board. Blank endpapers with minor blemishes where a previous owner had taped a removable protective cover over the dustwrapper but overall this is a bright and clean copy throughout. A couple of tiny nicks, without loss, to the wrapper, which also has some creasing to the inner flaps but overall this is a superior copy without any of the fading to the red and pink on the spine that is often encountered with this book. ---- A better than very good First edition of Judith Kerr's first semi-autobiographical novel in the 'Out of the Hitler Time' trilogy.
