Finely bound in contemporary half black calf. Spines with raised bands, red title labels, gilt. Compartments decorated in gilt. Black pebble grain cloth on boards.Marbled endpapers. All edges dyed red. Small (1.5 inch) split to the top hinge of first volume but still holding firm. Some rubbing to edges but overall a very good set in attractive early bindings.:.
