One of just 25 copies, numbered and signed, and Illustrated with an original watercolour, signed by Lynn Bogue Hunt, showing a pair of Mallard on a riverbank, in the front of the book. Four colour printed plates, each with a printed tissue guard and 44 mono illustrations throughout. Publisher's de luxe leather binding of green morocco over bevelled boards. Gilt panelled spine with flying duck motifs. Boards with six-line gilt borders. Gilt stamped flying duck motif on front board. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Spine and board edges lightly faded and some very minor rubbing to extremities but overall a near fine copy of this beautiful book. ----- Lynn Bogue Hunt (1877-1960) was one of America's most admired and popular sporting artists. --- "The Derrydale Press was a small publisher of finely crafted sporting books featuring topics such as hunting, fishing, sailing, skiing, polo, tennis and horseback riding. The press was started by Eugene V. Connett, III in 1927 and between then and 1942, The Derrydale Press published 169 books, 30 of which were privately printed.
